Day 7. Trainees will practice and apply theoretical skills when designing their classroom websites and practice and apply technical skills during the website construction phase.
ACTIVITY: Assessment Based On Objectives: Trainees successful completion of the course will be assessed using the trainees final product. Informal evaluations will be made during each activity.
OK. So now we've reviewed the theory behind online learning, explored effective instructional uses for classroom websites, and learned the technical skills necessary to build our own. The only thing left is to CREATE!!
You should have a complete site which incorporates the overall plan for your clasroom website which we've already created, and your instructional strategies and tools that are elementary/secondary level and content area appropriate.
THE ASSIGNMENT:
1. Create your own classroom website using the instructional strategies you brainstormed and the instructional tools you chose on Day 4. Be sure to use the planning excercises we completed to help you stay on track.
2. Then, you should evaluate your own site using the evaluation form below. You'll be familiar with it since we used it to evaluate example sites on Day 2.
3. Finally, please evaluate a classmate's site using the same form below.
